Selecting the correct source language is essential for accurate AI transcription. Once you tap the "Transcribe" button, our system immediately initiates a high-performance cloud computing task based on your current settings.
1. Can I pause or cancel a transcription in progress?
No. Due to the real-time nature of our pay-as-you-go cloud computing model, once a transcription task starts, it cannot be paused or canceled. The AI engine begins processing the audio data instantly, and the computing resources are allocated for the entire duration of the file.
2. Can I re-transcribe with the correct language?
Yes. You can always re-transcribe the same recording by changing the language settings in the App and tapping "Transcribe" again. Note: Since this triggers a completely new cloud computing task, it will consume additional minutes equal to the length of the recording.
3. Why are the minutes non-refundable?
Our AI transcription (ASR) service incurs costs from third-party cloud providers the moment the task is executed.
Irreversible Consumption: Because the server successfully processed the audio (even if the language selected was incorrect), the "minutes" have already been billed by the service provider.
Technical Constraints: Our system does not have the technical capability to "reclaim" or reset minutes that have already been consumed by the cloud engine.
How to Avoid Unnecessary Minute Consumption
To protect your transcription balance, please follow this Pre-Transcription Checklist:
Double-Check Language: Ensure the "Source Language" in the App matches the actual spoken language in your audio.
Test a Short Clip: If you are unsure, you can record a 10-second test clip to verify the transcription accuracy before processing a long meeting.
Stable Connection: Ensure your phone has a stable network to sync your settings correctly.
