When using your earbuds for recording, calls, or voice transcription, you may notice that the left and right earbuds do not drain battery at exactly the same rate. In most cases, this is normal and does not indicate a product defect.
Why does this happen?
During recording, one earbud may act as the “main earbud.” The main earbud handles more tasks, such as:
- Capturing your voice
- Processing recording audio
- Maintaining the Bluetooth connection
- Transmitting audio data to the app or your phone
Because the main earbud performs more work, it may consume slightly more power than the other earbud. This is common in TWS true wireless earbuds, especially during recording, calls, translation, transcription, or other microphone-based features.
Is this normal?
Yes. A slight battery difference between the left and right earbuds during recording is normal.
For example, after recording for a period of time, one earbud may show a lower battery level because it is responsible for audio capture and transmission. The actual battery difference may vary depending on recording time, Bluetooth connection quality, microphone usage, signal strength, and other factors.
How can I reduce the battery difference?
To help maintain stable performance, you can try the following:
- Fully charge both earbuds before long recording sessions.
- Keep your phone or device close to the earbuds during recording.
- Make sure your earbuds and app are updated to the latest version.
- Place the earbuds back in the charging case after recording to recharge them.
When should I contact support?
Please contact our support team if you notice any of the following:
- The battery difference between the two earbuds is unusually large;
- The same earbud always drains much faster than the other;
- One earbud powers off after only a short recording session;
- Battery life is significantly shorter than expected after a full charge.
When contacting support, please include your earbud model, app version, usage scenario, and screenshots of the left and right battery levels. This will help us check the issue more efficiently.
